Branding

What if a tourism platform didn’t just promote a region, but helped people taste it?

Commissioned by 13 regional councils, SEQ Food Trails reimagines how locals and visitors explore Southeast Queensland, turning static maps and brochures into personalised food adventures. Built around real user interests (think vegan eats, kid-friendly stops, or hidden farm gates), the platform lets every journey start with a craving.

We designed the platform to work hard behind the scenes: dynamic filtering, mobile-first UX, and intuitive UI that gets out of the way and lets the food do the talking. The project went on to receive a Good Design Award... and helped shift the region’s tourism experience from informative to immersive.

By blending smart design with user-led discovery, the SEQ Food Trails platform transformed how visitors explore Southeast Queensland – making local food experiences personal, interactive, and easy to access.

Why this worked

Visual identity and tone reflected the diversity, charm, and authenticity of SEQ’s food scene.

Interactive platform

A responsive, map-based site connected 13 regions into one seamless, story-driven digital experience.

Business-focused backend

Operators could manage their own listings, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem for tourism and growth.
